1. Overview
Inner Genie is a personal wellness app for reflection, meal logging, guided challenges, health trends, and wellness insights. This policy explains what information the app processes, why it is used, which providers support the service, and how you can control or delete it.
Inner Genie is a general wellness service. It is not a medical service and should not be used for diagnosis, treatment, or emergencies.
2. Information we process
Account and profile
We process your email address, account identifier, display name, age or date of birth, gender, body measurements, preferences, and notification settings when you provide them. These details support sign-in, profile features, and more relevant wellness context.
Content and activity
We process chats, meal photos, journal entries, challenge reflections and progress, wellness reports, saved wellness activity, and the requests you make in the app. We also process subscription status, usage counts, notification tokens, and limited technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
3. Optional Apple Health and Health Connect access
If you grant permission, Inner Genie reads and stores relevant summaries of steps, sleep, heart rate, and active calories from Apple Health or Android Health Connect. We use these summaries to show trends and add context to reflections and reports.
Health access is optional. You can decline it or change permissions in Apple Health, Health Connect, or your device settings. Turning off access stops future reads, but it does not automatically delete summaries already saved to your Inner Genie account. You can remove saved data through Delete Account.
Inner Genie does not use health data for advertising.
4. Personalized features
When you request a personalized chat, meal analysis, challenge response, insight, or report, Inner Genie may send the information needed for that request to a service provider that helps produce your response. This can include your message, a selected meal photo, recent relevant reflections, aggregate journal and challenge activity, approximate age and body measurements, and relevant Health summaries.
We limit the context sent to what supports the requested feature. Our personalization provider processes these requests without retaining the inputs or outputs after processing, and health information is not used for advertising.
Wellness responses and nutrition estimates can be incomplete or wrong. Review them before acting and consult a qualified professional for health decisions.
5. Service providers
We use providers to perform specific parts of the service:
- Clerk supports account authentication.
- Supabase stores app data and runs backend services.
- A specialized provider processes requests for personalized features under the retention safeguards described above.
- RevenueCat and Apple support subscription status and purchases.
- Resend supports operational service emails when used.
Each provider receives information needed for its role and handles it under its applicable terms and privacy commitments. Processing may occur outside your country or region.
6. Retention and security
Saved data remains available to support your Inner Genie account and history until it is deleted or no longer needed for the service, legal obligations, security, or reliable operations. Requests for personalized features are processed without retention by the provider described above. Other providers may retain the limited information they need for authentication, app storage, subscriptions, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
We use authenticated access, access controls, and encrypted network connections. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, so avoid sharing information that is unnecessary for the feature you are using.
7. Your choices and account deletion
You can choose not to create an account, not to connect Health data, or not to use features that process photos or personal content. You can change device permissions at any time.
In the app, open Settings → Delete Account to delete your Inner Genie profile and saved app data, including chats, photos, health rows, reports, and challenge history. Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions must be managed separately in your Apple Account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information. Contact us to make a request.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Inner Genie changes. We will publish the updated date here and provide any additional notice required by law.
